Product Technical Specifications:
Dimensions: 58.5 cm x 50 cm x 1.5 cm.
Materials: coconut fiber and anti-slip base.
The doormat paint remains intact over time. However, discoloration may occur due to intensive use or exposure to sun or rain. To keep it in perfect condition, it is recommended to avoid exposure to these elements.
The coconut fibers are attached to the base with glue. As a result, not all fibers are held identically, and during the first uses, it is completely normal for some fibers to detach.
For cleaning, dry clean. Use a brush, without water and without machine washing.
Each doormat is made from the husk of approximately 25 coconuts. The husks are first left to "mature" in coastal lagoons where they are harvested, then beaten by hand to extract the fiber. The doormats are then painted and colored by hand, one by one, using different stencils. A traditional outdoor sun-drying technique then fixes the paint to the doormat's surface. Finally, an anti-slip base is added to keep the doormat in place and reduce the risk of slipping.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the letters lose their sharpness over time?
- The paint on the doormats remains intact over time. Discoloration is caused either by use or by the conditions of the place where the doormat is located. It should be kept in mind that this is an indoor doormat: it should not be exposed to sun or rain if you want to keep it in its original condition.
Does it lose a lot of fibers?
- The coconut fibers are fixed to the base with glue. As they are not all fixed in the same way, it is quite normal for the doormat to lose some fibers at the beginning of its use.
